Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- Sri Lankan javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga has launched a biographical book documenting his life and sporting journey, while setting his sights on breaking the Olympic record at the 2028 Paris Games.

Titled "Adhishtanaye Ran Salakuna - Rumesh"_ (The Golden Mark of Determination - Rumesh_), the book was officially launched at an event in Colombo.

Speaking at the launch, Tharanga said his main target for the 2028 Olympics is to surpass the current Olympic javelin record held by Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem. He also expressed confidence that he can consistently achieve throws averaging more than 90 metres by the 2028 Games.
