Sri Lanka, Sept. 8 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe will enter Parliament if needed and if he decides to do so, United National Party (UNP) Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene said yesterday.
"Mr. Wickremesinghe will enter Parliament if it is needed or if he decides to do so. However it will not happen immediately. He will enter at the right time," he told Daily Mirror.
"There has been calls from party members that he should consider going into Parliament but he has no intention of doing so at the moment," he added.
The request for Wickremesinghe to enter into Parliament has been made by the members of other political parties as well during recent times. These include former MP Premnath Dolawatta and MP Dayasiri Jayasekera. " It wi...
