Sri Lanka, Aug. 29 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital, Colombo, has been transferred to a normal ward, UNP Assistant Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam told the media.

He said Wickremesinghe's health has improved.

Meanwhile, UNP General Secretary Thalatha Athukorala said all decisions pertaining to the former President's health will be made by his family members.
