Sri Lanka, July 30 -- Ajinkya Rahane has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, bringing the curtain down on a remarkable career. The elegant right-hander represented India in 195 international matches across all formats, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, leadership and memorable performances, particularly in Test cricket.

Rahane enjoyed his greatest success in the longest format, scoring 5,077 runs in 85 Tests, including 12 centuries. He also captained India to a historic Border-Gavaskar Trophy series victory in Australia in 2020-21, one of the country's greatest Test triumphs.
