Sri Lanka, March 16 -- Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) Managing Director Mayura Neththikumara, has warned the public about fraudulent attempts related to the National Fuel Pass QR system.
Speaking at a media briefing, Neththikumara said that some individuals have created fake accounts in the corporation's name to collect personal information. He emphasized that the official National Fuel Pass website is fuelpass.gov.lk and urged citizens not to share personal data with any other websites or third parties.
He cautioned that fraudsters may use stolen information to generate QR codes in other people's names, potentially preventing genuine users from obtaining their fuel pass.
