Sri Lanka, Aug. 13 -- The Ministry of Justice has called on the public, including both local and international media, to submit observations, comments, recommendations and suggestions on proposed amendments to the Online Safety Act No. 09 of 2024.

This move follows a decision by the Cabinet of Ministers, under which the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs appointed a committee to review the Act and the amendments published in the Gazette on July 31, 2024.

The committee has been tasked with conducting public consultations before making its final recommendations.
