Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will leave for the United States on 22 September to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During his visit, he is expected to hold bilateral discussions with several heads of state and senior government officials. He will also meet UN Secretary-General Guterres.
Following his engagements in New York, President Dissanayake will travel to Japan on 26 September on a state visit at the invitation of the Japanese government.
While in Japan, the President will participate in the World Expo International Trade Fair on 27 September and hold high-level talks with senior Japanese leaders.
