Sri Lanka, June 19 -- The President's Fund yesterday provided laptop computers to 14 university students selected from applications submitted through Divisional Secretariat offices across the country.

The distribution programme was held at the Head Office of the President's Fund, with Rs. 5.8 million allocated for the initiative.

According to the President's Media Division (PMD), the programme is aimed at supporting university students by providing essential educational equipment.

The PMD said that nearly 30 university students have received educational equipment through the President's Fund during 2025 and 2026, with more than Rs. 9.8 million spent on the programme so far.
