Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- The Postal Department will be able to achieve its revenue target of Rs. 15,000 million this year, Minister of Health and Mass Media Nalinda Jayatissa said.

He made these remarks while participating in the opening of the Madawala Ulpatha Post Office, which was renovated at a cost of Rs. 5.1 million yesterday (22).

The Minister said that around Rs. 2,000 million had been allocated last year for the development of the Postal Department, which generated an income of Rs. 13,450 million.

Accordingly, he noted that the revenue target of Rs. 15,000 million is expected to be achieved this year.
