Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- The Sri Lanka Police have sought public assistance to identify the suspects involved in the fatal double shooting that took place in Akuregoda yesterday.

Police said that a lawyer and his wifee who were inside a car parked at a supermarket parking lot in the Akuregoda were shot dead by two unidentified individuals who arrived in a car and fled the scene shortly after the incident.

On the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, ten special police teams have been deployed to conduct extensive investigations into the incident.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects had reportedly travelled through several routes, including Homagama, Pothu Arawa Road, the Athurugiriya Police Division, Kot...
