Sri Lanka, Dec. 15 -- Sri Lanka Police has taken special measures ahead of the upcoming festive season, deploying additional officers and plainclothes personnel to strengthen security in major cities and at religious sites, ensuring public safety during large gatherings.
Police Spokesman ASP F.U. Wootler said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasooriya has issued special directives to all police stations across the country to bolster security arrangements for the festive period.
