SriLanka, Oct. 1 -- The National Police Commission has cancelled, with immediate effect, the transfers of several police officers, including Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Ranmal Kodituwakku and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of the Police Narcotic Bureau Ashoka Dharmasena.

The National Police Commission took the decision at a meeting held today (October 1), following a request from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The cancelled transfers reportedly include those of the Director of the Police Narcotic Bureau, two Superintendents of Police and several female Police Inspectors, among other officers.
