Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hemal Prashantha, Director of the Police Narcotics Bureau, has been transferred as the Acting Commanding Officer of the Police Field Force Headquarters.

Police said two other SSPs were also transferred by the National Police Commission with effect from October 13.

SSP H.M.C.P. Herath has been appointed as the new Director of the PNB.
