Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said that every woman and girl should be able to live with dignity, feel safe, and take part fully in the life of the country.
She made the remarks while attending the policy and research forum "Unlocking the Gender Dividend: Driving Policy Change Through Knowledge", hosted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Sri Lanka on August 27 at the Galle Face Hotel.
At the event, four important reports were presented to the Prime Minister. The reports give policymakers, researchers, and civil society evidence and recommendations to tackle gender inequalities and build a fairer and more inclusive society in Sri Lanka.
