Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- The legacy of Sri Lanka's National Carrier is being carried into a new generation of pilots, with two SriLankan Airlines flight crew members sharing their experiences at a special aviation talk organised to mark the airline's 47th anniversary.

Captain Shavantha Pedris and Senior First Officer Nuwan Jayawickrama took part in the sixth episode of The Skyline Stories, an aviation talk series organised by SriLankan Aviation College.

The session provided a unique connection between the early years of Air Lanka, established in 1979, and the present-day SriLankan Airlines, as both pilots are sons of members of the airline's pioneering flight crew.
