Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- The Department of Immigration and Emigration has temporarily suspended the issuance of passports and visas due to a technical issue in its system.

In a statement, the Department said services will resume immediately once the system is restored. Officials are currently taking steps to fix the issue and restore normal operations.
