Sri Lanka, July 31 -- A total of 34 individuals have been arrested over bribery-related offences during the first six months of 2025, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) said.

According to CIABOC, the arrests were made following 54 raids carried out between January 1 and June 30 this year.

The Commission said it received 3,022 complaints within this period.

Among those arrested are ten police officers, five officials from the Ministry of Justice, two from the Ministry of Health, and two employees of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), it added.
