Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- The Orionid meteor shower will be visible in Sri Lanka tonight and into the early hours of tomorrow, astronomy experts said.
Professor Chandana Jayaratne, Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Centre for Modern Technologies, explained that the meteor shower is caused by debris from Halley's Comet. "The peak time will be 4:30 am tomorrow," he added.
The annual event typically peaks around the third week of October, with this year's peak predicted on October 21, 2025, offering skywatchers a chance to witness a dazzling display of shooting stars.
