Sri Lanka, March 23 -- Opposition MP Ajith P. Perera yesterday said he will raise a privilege issue against Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara for showing his middle finger during sessions last week.

" The action by the Minister is contempt of Parliament. Any MP is bound to behave even if the Mike is given to him or not" MP Perera said

Parliament went into chaos after Minister of Justice Harshana Nanayakkara showed his middle finger to MP Ajith P. Perera who raised an oral question.

The uproar broke out when MP Perera protested when the Minister wanted two weeks to submit an answer.

The MP wanted to raise a point of order but Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne who responded ruled there was no point of order in it.
