Nuwara Eliya lowest, Jaffna, Mannar, Polonnaruwa highest temperature today
Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Nuwara Eliya recorded Sri Lanka's lowest minimum temperature of 14.9C, while the highest minimum temperature of 27C was recorded in Jaffna, Mannar and Polonnaruwa, the Department of Meteorology said.
The minimum temperature readings were recorded on August 27, 2026, with significant differences observed between the central highlands and several lowland areas.
Bandarawela recorded 19.5C, while Badulla and Katugasthota recorded minimum temperatures of 21.6C and 22.0C, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mullaitivu recorded 26.5C, Trincomalee 26.8C, Pothuvil 26.9C, and Puttalam 26.7C.
In the Western Province, Colombo and Katunayake recorded 25.0C, while Ratmalana recorded 25.3C.
