Sri Lanka, May 29 -- Sri Lankans should not expect a reduction in fuel prices during the upcoming fuel price revision, Managing Director of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), Mayura Neththikumara said.

Speaking on the current fuel pricing outlook, the CPC Managing Director said that although global oil prices have shown a slight decline compared to March and April, international market rates remain considerably higher than the levels recorded before the recent Middle East conflict.

He said that the final global market prices for today are expected to be confirmed by this evening, after which local authorities will carefully assess the updated international trends before making a decision regarding domestic fuel prices.
