Sri Lanka, Aug. 7 -- Sri Lanka has neither reached a final agreement on any matter with the United States nor signed any agreements so far, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today.

Making a special statement in Parliament, he said though both parties have come to agreements on certain matters, no final agreement has been reached.

The President said however, as the outcome of the negotiations, the tariff was reduced from 44 percent to 20 percent and added that it is an important result of the agreements reached with the US.

He said some HS Codes are required to be released and that the decision will be taken in discussion with the relevant parties.
