Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- Special regulations are set to be implemented for establishments serving tourists in the Arugam Bay area, Acting Director of the Police Tourism Division, ASP Prabath Widanagama said.

He added that special attention will be given to foreigners entering the country on tourist visas who engage in business activities.

A viral video shared by a tourist has raised concerns after showing signboards in Arugam Bay predominantly written in Hebrew, with very few in Sinhala or Tamil.

The government has assured that the safety of all tourists, including Israeli visitors, will be prioritised during their stay in Sri Lanka.
