Sri Lanka, Aug. 29 -- A new Rs. 2000 commemorative banknote marking the 75th anniversary of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) was presented to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today.

The note was officially handed over to the President by CBSL Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.

This is the fifth commemorative currency note issued by the Central Bank since its establishment.
