Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- The United National Party (UNP) will get a new look with new faces by December this year, its Deputy General Secretary Harin Fernando said today.

Fernando told a media briefing that the UNP will undergo changes under which new young faces will play a greater role.

"We will begin a grassroots level by March this year while the party will get new faces by December this year," he said.

He said steps will be taken to impart the knowledge which current leader Ranil Wickremesinghe possesses to the younger generation.

"We are afraid that the younger generation will not learn from the current party leader and we ensure that the youngsters will learn from him," he added.
