Colombo, Sept. 23 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to develop a 'Government SuperApp' aimed at providing citizens with seamless access to government services through a single digital platform.

Officials highlighted that the current fragmented system forces users to repeatedly enter data across different portals, undergo multiple authentication processes, and engage with various departments, causing delays and inconvenience.

Estimates indicate that these inefficiencies result in an annual economic loss exceeding Rs. 500 million.
