Sri Lanka, Aug. 10 -- Arrangements have been made to hold a National Youth Conference in Sri Lanka after 32 years, Youth Affairs Deputy Minister Eranga Gunasekara said.
The conference will take place on August 12 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, with more than 6,000 young people expected to participate.
Deputy Minister Gunasekara said Youth Clubs have now been established in over 12,700 of the 14,002 Grama Seva Divisions across the country. All regional and district conferences have been completed, addressing previous shortcomings where some clubs were inactive and six district conferences had not been held.
