Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organiser and MP Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested and subsequently remanded, was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court a short while ago.

Namal was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on September 4 after recording a statement following several hours of questioning in connection with the controversial Airbus transaction.

He was subsequently produced before court and remanded.
