Sri Lanka, Aug. 10 -- The Health Ministry today handed over a fully equipped mobile drug-testing bus to the National Institute of Transport Medicine (NITM) to strengthen the national programme aimed at detecting drug use among public transport personnel and improving road safety.

The clinical bus, bearing registration number PZA-0040, was officially handed over to NITM Chairman Professor Clifford Perera by Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa at the Ministry premises today (10).

The mobile drug-testing programme is being implemented under the two-year strategic plan of the National Road Safety Programme initiated by the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development.
