Sri Lanka, April 10 -- The Mahapola Scholarship installment for March has been credited to university students' bank accounts today (10), the Lalith Athulathmudali Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund (MTF) said.

Accordingly, Rs. 10,000 has been deposited as the monthly allowance for eligible students.

The Fund said improvements in the payment system have enabled the March installment to be disbursed ahead of schedule.

Chairman of the MTF, retired Supreme Court Justice Vijith Malalgoda, said that the enhanced efficiency of the scholarship process allowed for early payment to recipients.
