SriLanka, May 3 -- Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today (May 3) on a state visit, marking his first official trip to the country since assuming office in 2023.
The visit is being undertaken at the invitation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and President Muizzu is expected to remain in the country until May 6.
During the visit, President Muizzu will hold bilateral discussions with President Dissanayake aimed at strengthening longstanding ties and cooperation between the two nations, according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Six memoranda of understanding are also expected to be signed to enhance bilateral cooperation.
