Sri Lanka, July 31 -- Students and the staff of Peradeniya University are facing the danger of leopards that roam into the campus at night from the Hanthana hill range.

A calf in the livestock farm run by the Veterinary Faculty had been killed and a part of the carcass eaten by leopards in the early hours of last morning.

CCTV recordings have shown how the leopard preyed on the calf.

A senior official of the university said the students have been warned to be cautious when moving about in the campus after dusk.
