Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- The Kopay Police have been temporarily withdrawn from the area following an order issued by the Jaffna District Court.
The police station had been operating from eight houses owned by civilians, and the court has ordered that seven of those properties be returned to their rightful owners. Police said the houses were handed over to the owners today (15).
Until the station is re-established, the Jaffna Police will temporarily handle complaints from residents of the Kopay area, police said.
