Sri Lanka, July 7 -- The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has opened its e-service platform for the submission of income tax returns for the year of assessment 2025/2026, urging the taxpayers to file their returns electronically before the November deadline.
In a public notice, the IRD said the taxpayers can now submit returns under several categories, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Partnership Income Tax (PIT), Individual Income Tax (IIT) and IIT Simplified Return, through its online platform.
It said all income tax returns for the relevant assessment year must be filed electronically on or before November 30, 2026, in compliance with the statutory requirements.
