Sri Lanka, April 7 -- Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran's newest Supreme Leader following the assassination of his father, is in a "severe condition" and cannot take part in the regime's decision-making, according to a leaked diplomatic memo.
The memo, which is understood to be based on United States and Israeli intelligence and has been seen by The Times, suggests Khamenei is unconscious.
It also reportedly says the Supreme Leader is receiving treatment in Qom - an Iranian city considered holy by Shi'a Muslims.
"Mojtaba Khamenei is being treated in Qom in a severe condition, unable to be involved in any decision-making by the regime," the memo reportedly reads, suggesting Mojtaba is currently not able to run Iran.
