Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Indian Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Nuwara Eliya this morning (20) to inspect the progress of the Indian-funded housing project for the Indian-origin Tamil community.

The visit is part of his ongoing two-day official tour of Sri Lanka.

According to official sources, the housing initiative is being implemented with Indian assistance to improve living conditions of plantation-sector families.

During his stay, Vice President Radhakrishnan also held high-level discussions yesterday (19) with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, focusing on bilateral cooperation and development partnerships between the two countries.
