India has responded to urgent request: Minister
Sri Lanka, Aug. 4 -- India has responded to Sri Lanka's call for urgent assistance to control dengue and has handed over a consignment of Malathion, Minister of Health Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said.
The Minister said the Health Ministry and other institutions are ready to face any disaster.
Indian High Commissioner in Colombo Santhosh Jha said India will always be happy to assist Sri Lanka.
A consignment of Malathion was handed over to the Minister by High Commissioner Jha.
