Sri Lanka, Aug. 8 -- India has handed over another consignment of Bailey Bridges, weighing more than 250 metric tonnes, to Sri Lanka as part of its ongoing assistance to the country.
The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka said the consignment is part of India's USD 450 million reconstruction package launched following Cyclone Ditwah.
Indian Army engineers will install the bridges at locations across the island, helping restore essential connectivity and strengthen Sri Lanka's infrastructure.
