Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- The computer system of the Immigration and Emigration Department, which experienced a sudden breakdown this morning (11), has now been restored, officials said.

Department Media Spokesperson Mahesh Karunadasa said the affected computer system has been restored to normal operation.

The system failure had disrupted the issuance of foreign passports this morning, temporarily affecting services provided by the Department.
