Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- While appreciating the support extended by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Opposition MP Harsha De Silva said today the IMF should go beyond the financial issues that have been negotiated and agreed upon but also governance issues which are equally important.

The MP told parliament that Sri Lanka was able to come out of the crisis much faster than many other countries as the Opposition did not scuttle the programme.
