SriLanka, Sept. 11 -- Tamil Union along with NCC, SSC and CCC booked semifinal berths in the Major Club T20 cricket tournament when they ended victorious in the quarter final matches played at the NCC and SSC grounds yesterday.

In the morning session, an unbeaten 101 in 52 balls inclusive of eight boundaries and seven sixes by Sineth Jayawardena and four-wicket hauls by Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and Navod Paranavithana helped Tamil Union to record an easy 41 runs win over Panadura SC which was their seventh straight win while NCC recorded a thrilling two wicket win over Moors SC with two balls to spare.
