Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- The Health Ministry has expressed concern over a misleading social media post that promoted the launch of an "LGBTQIA+ Sexual Wellbeing Clinic" at the National Hospital in Kandy, it is learnt.
A senior ministry official told Daily Mirror that the post created unnecessary confusion and misrepresentation about the clinic's purpose.
The official further confirmed that the particular doctor responsible for circulating the post had been reprimanded.
According to the health officials, the service is not limited to any particular group but is open to all individuals seeking sexual health guidance.
