Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- The opposition parties and civil organizations are applying pressure on the government to listen to the sentiments expressed by Mahanayake Theras on the 22nd Amendment and to reveal the letter they sent to the President. Convenor of the Joint Opposition Professor G. L. Peiris said the government should listen to the Most Venerable Mahanayake Theras, who have expressed their displeasure over extending the retirement age of judges.
