Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- Hot on the heels of the arrest of politicians implicated in past wrongdoings, Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala said yesterday that the government is committed to bring all kinds of wrongdoers to book in conformity with the mandate it received at the last elections.

In response to a query whether the government is all out on a political witch-hunt, the Minister told Daily Mirror that the government had dealt with both politicians and others alike as far as corruption and frauds were concerned.

He said the media highlights only the cases involving high profile politicians who served in the past.
