Sri lanka, Oct. 2 -- Colombo, October 2 (Daily Mirror) - Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa announced plans to build a state-of-the-art cardiac hospital near the National Hospital, Colombo with an estimated investment of Rs. 13 billion.

He revealed the plan on Thursday (2) while meeting the Mahanayake Theras in Kandy, also briefing them on the government's ongoing healthcare programmes.

Dr. Jayatissa said the government will also open 100 'Arogya Suwatha Centres' across the country this year, with new centres in Polgollawatta, Kandy and Dankanda, and Matale scheduled to open later on Thursday.
