Sri Lanka, Sept. 28 -- Fuel distribution to filling stations across the country could come to a standstill from Friday (25) if authorities fail to revise fuel transportation charges in line with the latest fuel price increase, the Ceylon Petroleum Private Tanker Owners Association (CPPTOA) warned today.

CPPTOA Chairman A.M.H. Adhikari said the association had requested a revision of fuel transportation charges in 2025, with discussions held to implement the revised rates from January 2026. However, no revision had been implemented so far.

He said the association had held several rounds of discussions with the relevant authorities but had failed to receive a favourable response.
