Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- The Muslim Left Front has officially submitted its application for registration to the Election Commission of Sri Lanka, its General Secretary M.R.M. Faizal said today.
The Muslim Left Front was established with the objective of promoting the political rights of the Muslim community, social justice, equality, good governance and national unity.
After a long-standing engagement in public welfare activities, rights-based advocacy and social awareness initiatives, the Muslim Left Front has now taken a firm step forward toward functioning as a legally recognised political party, Faizal said in a statement.
