Srilanka, Sept. 27 -- England have called up Dan Lawrence to replace Jos Buttler for the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka at The Kia Oval today, September 27, with the three-match series level at 1-1.

Buttler has been ruled out after suffering a left hamstring injury during England's chase in the second ODI at Headingley.

The England wicketkeeper-batter was playing a key role in the chase after scoring 66 when he felt discomfort while completing a second run in the 38th over. He briefly left the field before returning later in the innings and adding three more runs to finish with 69. England eventually fell 16 runs short of Sri Lanka's 321 for nine.
