Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, has issued a Letter of Demand (LOD) to Waruna Rajapaksha over alleged defamatory statements made on YouTube concerning a distillery licence.

In a statement, the Deputy Minister's Office said that a series of false and defamatory allegations targeting Deputy Minister Abeysinghe had been circulated through a YouTube channel operated by Rajapaksha.

The statement added that the Letter of Demand seeks compensation for the damage caused by the claims.
