Court rejects bid to delay A/L examination by two months
Sri Lanka, July 23 -- The Court of Appeal today dismissed a writ application filed by a group of students seeking to postpone the upcoming G.C.E. Advanced Level examination by two months.
The petitioners, who are due to sit the examination as scheduled, had sought judicial intervention to delay the examination, claiming that a postponement was necessary.
The Attorney General raised preliminary objections challenging the maintainability of the application. After considering the submissions, the Court of Appeal rejected the writ application, paving the way for the examination to proceed as scheduled.
